Responsible for completion of their projects within budget, on schedule, to the company's quality standards, and to the customer's satisfaction. This position will report to either the Senior Project Manager and/or the Project Executive and will work together with the Project Superintendent. The right candidate for this position is highly ethical and requires business management acumen and must demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and time management skills, as well as have strong communication and client service skills.
Essential Functions
- Build meaningful long-term relationships with clients, designers and subcontractors. Our team members must be able to communicate effectively, produce high quality work, have respectful interactions and fair financial management.
- Ensure that the estimating process runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimate for projects;
- Prepares and maintains project schedule.
- Select and execute agreements with all subcontractors and suppliers.
- Manages Subcontractors and Suppliers
- Manages the financial aspect of the project including cost reporting, forecasting, Owner requisitions, payables, and subcontractor requisitions and changes.
- Prepares internal monthly cost packages (project specific contract/estimated cost) and assumes lead role during meeting.
- Works with the Project Superintendent to control and monitor construction progress
- Adheres to company safety policies including subcontract and insurance requirements and performing weekly safety walkthroughs
- Participate in business development activities, presentations and interviews;
- Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate project team and direct reports
- Assist Project Executives with direct reports reviews (annual)
